Rak'd Again!

I am definitely one blessed little girl! I have had several rak's again this week. When we were leaving for Milwaukee, Melissa handed me this American pin. She knows I love Americana stuff. What she didn't know is that I already own earrings to match this pin! Isn't that something! She also thought we should try Ghiradelli Chocolate while we were in Milwaukee and bought us each a square. Well...you know me...there is NO evidence left to take a picture of as we ate them immediately. It was ok but we both agreed that we have had better chocolate. I for one will stick with Hershey's kisses, that's for sure! Another rak I had this week is that Sandy Wellumuson brought me her Ricky Timm's cd. Isn't that cool! Thanks buddies!

Scrapbook pages that I finished at the Pajama Party!

The Spiderman pictures are of my nephew Ben. I found a spiderman outfit for him garage saling last spring and he just loved it! He did all kind of poses for me in the outfit. I found these cool spiderman stickers in the scrapbook store in Milwaukee. They match the pictures so good!

Lady Di was ready to choke me when she saw this blown up picture of the Menasha trip with the van. She says I post all the worst pictures of her. I told her that I dont post the worst ones, I just post them ALL....I am not choosey! All of you who think these are good pictures of her, please leave a comment!

Here are some other pages that I finished over the weekend. Tons of cutting so it took along time but it was worth the work. It is not about speed...it is enjoying the journey!

These two pages are the pages that I entered in the scrapbook contest at the PJ party. I have better layouts at home but we were suppose to enter something that we worked on over the weekend. I just love this color and it is so pretty. It looks better in person.

Dana's Stamping Party!

Today I did a stamping party out at Dana Diorio's. As a thank you gift for having the party,Dana received from me a decorated mason jar full of wooden spools wrapped with ribbon. One of the gals mentioned that it was just too cute and should be used for a decoration and not used. Everyone liked it and wanted one to. I told them they could get one too if they booked a party or maybe something even cooler. They also each received an inspiration sheet and two people were lucky winners of Spring notepads. Dana had lots of CHOCOLATE and other goodies for us to snack on. These are the two cards that we did today and they were well liked by everyone. I just finished talking to Colleen in Oregon and she has the set Sweet Shapes too and would like to do this card with her stamping group in Oregon. So I said I would quick shoot a picture of it so she could see it. On my way back to town...my partner in crime...Lady Di and I stopped for Chinese. Yum Yum and I even have some left overs for tomorrow. It has been chaos here since I have been home tonight. I had phone calls to answer and the phone has been ringing off the wall nonstop but I did manage to get my stamping order put in. Thank you for a great party Dana!

Girls Night Out With The Yackette's!

Last night was our monthly get together of the Yackette's. We went to the Woodbine at Necedah. Judy started the evening by telling the waitress that she was going to buy a round of drink for the whole table and wanted it put on her bill. Then she told us her BIG NEWS! Last week, Judy and her boyfriend Roy won $10,000. from Kwik Trip on a lottery ticket. They were thrilled to say the least! They split the money in half. She said that she is going to get a laptop computer and that Roy is going to get a big screen TV. We had a great evening catching up as usual. Here is a picture of the group toasting Judy. The Woodbine is a candlelit atmosphere so this photo isn't this best. My flash didn't go off and I thought I had a decent picture but ended up having to lighten it a little. But it turned out pretty good considering how dark it was in there. We ended up having to put the menu over the candle so it wasn't reflecting on my camera lens. It was great to see everyone again and we missed those that couldn't attend. Congratulations Judy and Roy!

Rak'd Again!

Yesterday, Diane and I went to the Rapids to do some errands that she needed to do. I picked up some things for future stamp camps...and NO ....I am not going to tell you WHAT I picked up. You will just have to come to camp and see all the neat things we are going to make! I still wasn't feeling so hot but got through the day with my sunglasses on and migraine medicine. I discovered that I can get about 5 hours of fairly good relief with Excedrin migraine before it wears off. But the bad news is that you can only take it once in a 24 hour period. Ahhh...but any relief is better than none and lets you function for a few hours. Any how....Diane treated my to Meat Lovers Pizza at pizza hut and then Rak'd me with a box of left over pizza to take home with me. That crispy crust sure is delicious. You are soooooo goood to me Beatrice!

Would you like to see a real live BLIZZARD!?!?!

Right now we are having some awful winter weather. We have had a TON of snow this year and for my friends out of state I thought I would shoot some pictures to show you. This picture is looking out my back door. First we got a couple inches of freezing rain early this morning and I watched it turn into snow around 7:30 this morning. The branch on this tree is so weighted down from ice that it is almost touching the ground. When I opened the door to take this picture, my little shadow, Molly came along and when the gust of wind and snow blew in....Molly meowed at me like what the heck did you do that for? She is definitely an indoor cat. She will peek out the door sometimes but does not want to go outside. She is curious but afraid. For those of you who know her...she has a distinctive personality and is not afraid to show it! This next picture shows where the driveway USED to be. With all the snow we have had the driveway was probably banked on the sides 2 feet deep. Not any more...not a trace of it! The last picture shows the snow by the garage and the branch of the tree next to the garage that is so weighted down with ice that it is laying on the garage roof right now. Doesn't this make y'all want to hop on the next plane and come and visit!?!?!? We are to get 6 to 12 inches so by the time you arrive...the snow should be up to the roof and you can just land there and scoot down the chimney. It is nice and cozy in here and I have lots of food! Hope to see ya soon!

My Birthday

I am behind on my blogging this week as after my fun adventure with Diane...I have had a migraine ever since. So haven't been doing too much. I finally feel like my ole' self again today! Yippee! On my birthday, Valentines Day, I had lots of birthday phone calls and spent most of the day on the phone, and I am not exaggerating! It was nice to feel so loved by so many people especially when I wasn't feeling good and we were in the middle of a snow storm and I was snowed in. We got 10 and 1/2" on Thursday. But dear ole mom ventured out in the evening after it stopped and brought me my birthday present! Thanks MOM! On Friday, Sarah stopped over with these flowers. Aren't they pretty!?!?! Thanks honey! I want to thank everyone for all the cards and well wishes, emails, etc. I received. I have the cards all lined up on the window sill in the kitchen and took a picture so that you could see them. You all made my birthday a very special day!

Happy Birthday To Me!

My birthday was on Thursday this week. Diane had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday in Tomah so we decided that we would celebrate a day early. We had heard the weather report and knew that the weather was suppose to be bad on my birthday and it was. We had a great day as usual! We did her appointments and then went to a scrapbook store in Tomah. She treated me to Chinese...one of our favorite things to eat! Diane got such a kick out of this kids hair that was working there that she pretended she was messing around with my camera and took a picture of him. His hair was something else! It stood out in all directions! He seemed to be a sweet kid but his hair was kind of freaky. I took pictures of our fortunes. If you have went for Chinese with me....you know that part of the fun is that at the end of the meal when you read your fortune, you have to say "in bed" afterwards. Some of them can be really funny and we died laughing at them as usual. Then we were off to Good Will. Diane tells me later that she ALMOST bought a shirt while we were in there. I may get her corrupted to thrift shopping yet! Now and then I can get her to stop a shop. But a whole day of it....NO WAY! The next part of my birthday present was a trip to Cold Stone Creamery. So we hopped on the interstate and headed down to the Dells where we had lucious icecream! I of course could not try anything new as I had fell in love with the Chocolate and Peanut butter combination in Milwaukee. Once I find something that I love it is hard to get me to budge from it as I don't want to be disappointed in something else! Then we were off to Baraboo and checked out a store there that we hadn't been to before. Sarah goes there alot and really likes it. A very nice store. So we had a very nice adventure. Diane also gave me some money for my birthday for some punches that I wanted and I ordered them off the internet after I got home. Can't wait for those to come! She spoils me so.....love ya Di!

Postage Going Up

As you have probably heard, postage is going up in May one cent. The good news is though if you purchase the Forever Liberty Bell stamps now for forty-one cents, you will be able to use them until you run out of them with out having to put on additional postage. So you may want to stock up on them before May!

Valentine Order

Hi! I just finished making 2 of these little cards for my next door neighbor. We have a little bartering system. She vacuums, sweeps and mops floors for me. In return I make cards for her and other craft items when she needs them. It works out pretty good. This card is a CASE from my friend Colleen in Oregon. Debi saw a card similar to this one sitting on my table to show my stamping group and asked if I could make her some. Fortunately, I had the same stamp set. I made a few changes. I stamped the elephant on Going Grey card stock instead of white like Colleen did. Added the butterfly and changed some of the colors in the flowers. This is such an adorable little set. I just love it!

Sale-A-Bration Rub Ons....AWESOME!!!

Today I was out at Lady Di's house stamping. Man did she make some fabulous Chinese for dinner. She is such an awesome cook! And her new room is coming along beautifully! One more day of work and they should be finished. After she gets moved in, she said I could shoot some pictures and put it on the blog for you all to see!

Here are some samples that I made up with the new rub on's that you can get free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50.00 purchase! They are so much fun to play with and easy as pie! There are a few things that I learned today while work ing with them that I thought I would share with you. If you look at the 5th card down closely, you can see that I made an error. I purposely have not corrected this as I wanted you to see what happens when you try and rub a rub on over a previous rub on. It does not work! I thought it would just cover up the vines and it didn't! They show through. There is a way to correct a mistake like this. You can take a pouncer and pounce ink over the top, or pounce chalk over the top. That should work. You will be able to see these cards for REAL if you come to stamp camp or come visit me!

We are definitely having the snow and bad weather this winter. The only GOOD thing about it is that there is plenty of time to stamp!

Sneek Peek!

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! This morning, Diane, Heather and I went to church together and then out for breakfast afterwards at Family Affair. Mean ole' Lady Di will not let me come over today to her home as it is Super Bowl Sunday. She thinks that I would TALK during the game. ME !?!??! TALK?!?!?!? What an outlandish idea! I promised to be quiet. I was pretty quiet yesterday when I was out there. SHE did most of the talking. But she says if I am there....she will talk to me. GO FIGURE!
Actually, I am not interested in football...and am just bugging her....because I can! But by now I am sure you are dying to know what the SNEEK PEEK is! Well...I decided that I would give you a sneek peek of one of the projects that we will be doing in this months stamp camp. It is called a Pouncing Pastel Technique and you will be learning how to make a picket fence with chalks. It is a pretty cool technique that you will love.
Now no watching football this afternoon....GET STAMPING !

Play Date with Lady Di !

This afternoon I went out to Diane's to stamp. Before we got started she showed me her new stamping room in the basement. She had a 12 x 12 area finished off in the basement. It should be completed sometime next week. Very nice! Can't wait to play down there....she is actually going to have HEAT!!! I couldn't decide what I wanted to work on today so decided just to play. Sometimes it is fun just to do that. Nothing in particular that you have to get done...just do it for enjoyment! We had a great time, as usual...and great food! Lady Di is quite the chef! Find time to PLAY TODAY!

I've been RAK'ed AGAIN!

Good Morning! Yesterday, Lady Di and I went to Mauston to pick up my new glasses. We stopped at the Park Oasis for a late lunch/supper. Diane RAK'ed me with some Peanut Butter Fudge! Yum! She also Rak'ed me a couple of days before this with some Carrot Cake! Delish! Not so good for the weight loss program this week but it sure was tasted wonderful! Guess you need to do that now and then. It was a good thing I ordered a salad for lunch to help counter act some of it! Thanks Beatrice!
