It's my birthday month!

The calender page flipped to February, the beginning of my birthday month.  My friend Carol called me this morning and asked me if I would like to go to WI Rapids today.  When she arrived she told me that she wanted to celebrate my birthday today, and she handed me a birthday present.  Much to my delight, inside it, was a wool pressing pad.  I have heard so many awesome things about them. That they are super good for pressing fabric and I am really excited about trying it out.

We visited and shopped.  Went to Goodwill and Lighthouse books, which is one of my favorite places to shop at.  They have an amazing stamp store along with a Christian book store.  So some goodies from there came home with me along with a couple stamp sets I found at Good will.  :).  We had lunch at Applebees.  Yummy Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad, Spinach Dip, and a Sundae for dessert.  Just delicious, and a super fun day with a good friend!!!!  :)

A Snowy Sunday

It is a snowy weekend in Wisconsin.  We got some snow over night.  There are a few snowflakes still swirling around.  I am taking a little rest break right now and I am watch Crafty Al's January Sheet load of Cards Video.

I made four each, of these three different card designs this morning and did some cleaning of my stamping desk.

Thank you to those of you, who popped me an email, to let me know if you could see the blog via email or not.  I appreciate it.

I enjoyed having my Christmas decorations up so much that I left them up till now.  I am just starting to pack them up.  I picked up a few Spring and Easter decorations while shopping the other day.  I am so ready for spring but I guess I will have to hold off decorating for that for awhile.  :)
Make it a great day!

Happy Birthday....spoil your self today...wish BIG!

Today was drag your wash around day.  Lol  I will be so happy when the transmission for my washing machine comes and I can do laundry at home again.  This gets old fast, especially with the cold.  Tuesday will be 4 weeks of dragging it around.  :(

The bottom picture is of a notebook I decorated with this beautiful Parisian paper.  I did another one differently but must have deleted the photo by accident earlier in the week, so I am not showing that one.  You'll have to buzz on over and take a look.   Lots of new things on the porch.   :)

The Happy Birthday cards I made this evening.   I am trying to get the Birthday bins restocked as they were getting low, especially the women's bin.

These are some great birthday cards to have handy in one's card stash as they could be used for any age, male or female.  I don't think you can see it in the picture but the balloons are sparkly.  A better word to use would be "glimmer".

In other fun news, I have introduced the kids to "The Munsters".  The "old tv shows" are really more fun.  They are so different that the gkids are mesmerized by them.  They sit so still and don't move a muscle.   :)  We had planned on watching more of Mr. Ed but oddly enough, the few season two episodes we saw available last week have disappeared. So strange.  The only episodes left were the ones we had already watched.

Stay safe and have a great Sunday!!!

Shopping Trip

Yesterday I had a nice adventure with the Dominguez family.  We did some shopping in Plover and Stevens Point and had supper at Asian Buffet.  They do it differently now.  You pick out items for "your buffet" and they cook it and bring plates to your table.  Yummy.  We got home pretty late last night so I am a little tired today, but it was fun.  Jenna picked up a bunch of things for the new baby.  Time is flying and it won't be that much longer and we will have our new little love in our arms.

I finished these cards today.  I made three of each of them.  Always fun to play in the stamping room, to play with different colors, different stamps, etc.  What have you been up to?  Have a great weekend!
